Callie Wills is a professional sound designer/engineer currently working remotely out of lovely Orlando, Florida. She graduated from the University of Central Florida (UCF) in Spring 2020 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in film specializing in sound. Since then she has continued to pursue her passion for sound and its many forms through a variety of freelance work across a wide array of projects and mediums.
Ever since she was a little girl, Callie has been fascinated by audial media. From the various audio dramas she’d listen to on long road trips, to the nightly, self-foleyed story times with her mother, the young girl always loved the idea of storytelling through sound. Once she’d reached high school, she took her passion for the medium a step further, creating several of her own audio projects that not only helped scratch her insatiable, creative itch but greatly assisted in further honeing her burgeoning potential.
These days, Callie puts such skills to good use, doing what she loves in telling beautiful and compelling stories through sound. After years of completely immersing herself in the art of cinema production, she became well-versed in all facets of the production pipe-line while continuing to dedicate much of her studies to sound. This included such things as recording both on-site audio as well as additional, post-production dialogue, constructing her own foley and sound effects, as well as mixing and mastering audio for a plethora of diverse mediums. It was also at this time that she became known as the “Sound Witch”, due in no small part to her obvious passion for the craft as well as her near-supernatural proficiency concerning it.
These days, Callie is continuing to put such skills to good use, doing what she loves in telling beautiful and compelling stories through sound.
